Call for Submissions: Pathways from Homelessness 2024

Following on from our most successful conference yet earlier this year, we are delighted to announce our invitation for contributions to our next one in March 2024 are now open.

We are keen to widen the voices heard, and welcome new and established contributors alike.

Contributions can be in the form of research project or paper discussions, posters, presentations, films, or shorter ‘PechaKucha’ presentations.

Following feedback from delegates we are particularly interested in the following topics:

  • service user and lived experience voice
  • collaborative and partnership working e.g. healthcare and housing
  • art based projects
  • implementing NICE guideline 214
  • newly published research
  • clinical topics
  • psychological approaches
  • work of OTs
  • working with ICS/ICBs
  • improving access to Primary Care
  • role of Primary Care in preventing homelessness
  • innovative services for Inclusion Health groups
  • personal coping strategies and help to support teams
  • outreach, in-reach
  • stepdown/intermediate care
  • safer places to recover-supported housing and Housing First

If you think you have something that other people would want, or need to hear about, please submit a proposal, and we look forward to seeing you in March 2024.

How to submit

Submissions should outline in max. 250 words your plan for a 30-minute session.

Please submit your paper using the online submissions form below. The deadline for submissions is 22 September 2023.

All submissions will be reviewed by the organising committee and people selected to present at the conference will be notified by the end of October.

Support available

The organising committee is keen to support anyone (especially Experts by Experience) who would like help when preparing their proposal. If you would like advice or some informal mentoring with your submission, please email faculty@pathway.org.uk for more information.

In submitting a paper, you are indicating your availability to present on either day and that, if required, in addition to presenting face to face, you will also pre-record your presentation for the online audience.

Speakers selected through the call for presentations process will be able to attend the day of their presentation free of charge and their second day at a discounted rate of £115 plus VAT.
